Policing Services Review Community Meeting Oct 19, 2022

This is a Reminder to all Oxford Residents that we have a Policing Services Review Community Consultation Meeting scheduled for next Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at 6:30 pm at the Capitol Theatre Oxford. Please join us in discussing current policing services in the Town of Oxford.
Prior to the meeting, we are encouraging all residents of the Town of Oxford to complete the Policing Services Review Community Feedback Questionnaire. Copies of the questionnaire will be available in print form at the meeting for those without access to the survey via the Internet.
Your information is valuable to the committee for the review process and is strictly confidential.
We would like to thank you all for taking the time to complete the survey and we look forward to seeing you at the Capitol Theatre next Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at 6:30 pm!
Town of Oxford Crosswalk Temporary Paint completed

Considering recent material shortages, the town of Oxford hired Pat Rushton to paint our crosswalks, which was done over the weekend at the main intersection. The town would like to thank Pat for the quick response and great job in making our crosswalk more visible to walking and the driving public. We are asking everyone driving to keep an eye out for people using the cross walks, crossing guard guiding kids across, and come to a complete stop at all segments of the Intersection.
Temporary Water Disruption Birchwood Rd. Monday Oct 11 at 11 am

Oxford Public Works will have to shut off water on Birchwood Road at about 11 am this morning to install a stand pipe.

Water system update on Foundry St. Wed., Oct. 12, 2022

On Wednesday, October 12, starting at 8 am, Oxford Public Works will be installing a valve on Foundry Street to release some of the air in the line.
The water will need to be shut off to complete this task on Foundry Street.
Water will be shut off roughly around 8 am.
Birchwood Road and Surrounding areas - water interruption

The water service may be interrupted as the Public Works Department works on replacing a water valve.
As long as everything goes well, we don't anticipate the interruption to last long.

Oxford Town Office Hours Changing as of Oct 11, 2022

Please note that starting on October 11, 2022, the Town of Oxford office hours will now be from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday (except holidays).
All other Town of Oxford services hours will remain the same.
Monday, October 3 - 6 pm - Council holds COW and Special Meeting

Monday, October 3 - Oxford Town Council will be meeting at 6 pm for the regular Committee of the Whole meeting.
Following that meeting Council will host a Special Town Council meeting.
Both of these meetings will be streamed live on Facebook.
National Day for Truth and Reconciliation Friday September 30

Reminder to all Oxford residents that municipal services will be closed tomorrow, September 30, 2022, for National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. This includes the Transfer Station.
