Nova Scotia Home Share

The HomeShare Coordinator for Colchester Residential Services Society is spreading the word about the new Home Share Program in Nova Scotia.

This program will give adults with developmental disabilities the option to live in a home that fits their needs and lifestyle.

Participants can choose to live with one person or move in with a family. Every arrangement is different because each individual has personal preferences and unique needs.

HomeShare Providers are financially compensated for welcoming and supporting an adult with a disability in their home by helping with:

  • Building relationships and social connections
  • Learning daily life skills
  • Preparing meals
  • Personal care
  • Getting involved in the community
